The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Catoosa County in northwestern Georgia...
  Whitfield County in northwestern Georgia...
  Walker County in northwestern Georgia...
  Dade County in northwestern Georgia...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 550 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Bridgeport to near Fabius to near Dutton, moving
  east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Dalton, Lafayette, Ringgold, Trenton, Fort Oglethorpe, Rossville,
  Chickamauga, Varnell, Lookout Mountain, Tunnel Hill, Cohutta,
  Chattanooga Valley, La Fayette, Center Post, Blue Spring, Fairview,
  Linwood, Villanow, Chattanooga  Valley, and Hooker.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CATOOSA...WHITFIELD...WALKER
AND DADE COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 630 PM EDT...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
northwestern Georgia.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
central Walker, Catoosa, and Whitfield counties until 700 PM EDT. 

Remember, a Tornado Warning still remains in effect for southwestern
