The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
* Until 1015 PM MST.
* At 919 PM MST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
8 miles southeast of Hereford to 18 miles south of Chiricahua
National Monument, moving northwest at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Tombstone, Pearce-Sunsites, Elfrida,
Charleston, Fairbank and Rucker Canyon.
This includes the following highways...
Route 90 between mile markers 319 and 336. Route 80 between mile
markers 306 and 341. Route 191 between mile markers 21 and 37. Route
92 between mile markers 342 and 347. Route 82 between mile markers 59
and 67.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

FOR SOUTHWESTERN COCHISE COUNTY...
At 955 PM MST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
near Hereford to 14 miles southeast of Pearce-Sunsites, moving
northwest at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.

tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with these thunderstorms.
