  Northwestern Rawlins County in northwestern Kansas...
  Southwestern Hitchcock County in southwestern Nebraska...
  Southeastern Dundy County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until 400 PM MDT/500 PM CDT/.

* At 308 PM MDT/408 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 5
  miles west of Stratton, or 13 miles northeast of Benkelman, moving
  southeast at 25 mph.

  THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR MAX AND STRATTON!

  HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and baseball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect 
           considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. 
           Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near...

MDT/500 PM CDT/ FOR NORTHWESTERN RAWLINS...SOUTHWESTERN HITCHCOCK AND
SOUTHEASTERN DUNDY COUNTIES...

At 320 PM MDT/420 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located near
Stratton, or 14 miles west of Trenton, moving southeast at 25 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR STRATTON.

HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and two inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. This storm has a history of producing hail 
         as large as 3 inches in diameter.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect 
         considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. 
         Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Rawlins, southwestern Hitchcock and southeastern Dundy
Counties, including the following locations... Max.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a potentially deadly storm. Seek shelter in an interior room

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
