* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Raleigh County in southeastern West Virginia...
  Northeastern Wyoming County in southern West Virginia...

* Until 245 PM EDT.

* At 214 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sophia, or 10
  miles southwest of Beckley, moving east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Beckley, Mullens, Mabscott, Sophia, Crab Orchard, Dry Creek,
  Macarthur, Coal City, Shady Spring, Beaver, Daniels, Stanaford,
  Lester, Rhodell, Ghent, Josephine, and Maben.

This includes the following highways...
 West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 28 and 45.
 Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 120 and 133.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe 
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CENTRAL RALEIGH AND
NORTHEASTERN WYOMING COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, gusty winds and
heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Charleston West Virginia.
