The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northern Yuma County in northeastern Colorado...
* Until 800 PM MDT.
* At 654 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles west of
Highland Center, or 21 miles west of Holyoke, moving southeast at
30 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northern Yuma County, including the following locations...
Clarkville and Wauneta.
This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 257 and 268.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT for northeastern
Colorado.

At 707 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles southwest of
Highland Center, or 19 miles southwest of Holyoke, moving southeast
at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Clarkville and Wauneta.
