Western Cerro Gordo County in north central Iowa... Winnebago County in north central Iowa... Eastern Palo Alto County in northwestern Iowa... * Until 1230 AM CDT. * At 1112 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4 miles west of Dolliver to near Ringsted to West Bend, moving east at 50 mph. THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR parts of north central Iowa. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Automated and personal weather stations. Spencer Airport reported a 92 mph wind gust at 1042 PM and a personal weather station in Ruthven reported a wind gust of 72 mph at 1049 PM. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
