  Southwestern Buffalo County in central South Dakota...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 406 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Medicine Butte to 8 miles southeast of Earling
  Hill to 15 miles south of 5 Mile Corner, moving southeast at 20
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

extending from Medicine Butte to 10 miles northwest of Hamill to 14
miles northeast of Mosher, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

FOR EASTERN LYMAN COUNTY...

At 440 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Medicine Butte to 6 miles north of Hamill to 12
miles northwest of Ideal, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 430 pm, Kennebec reported a wind gust 
         of 66 mph.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 
         mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Oacoma, Kennebec, Reliance, Medicine Butte, Dude Ranch, Lyman, Byre
Lake, Lake Francis Case, and southern Lower Brule Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
