  Eastern Union County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 545 PM EDT.

* At 448 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles southeast
  of Monroe, or 5 miles southwest of Sturdivants, moving north at 20
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Monroe, Unionville, Wingate, Marshville, Fairview In Union County,
  Sturdivants, Trinity, and New Salem.

EXPIRE AT 545 PM EDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
