  Northern Fayette County in south central Illinois...

* Until 330 PM CDT.

* At 247 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Vandalia,
  moving northeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Shafter, Vandalia, Brownstown, Avena, St. Elmo and Wrights Corner.

This includes Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 61 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT Sunday for a
portion of south central Illinois.

miles northeast of Vandalia, moving northeast at 25 mph.
