The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico...
  North Central Mora County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 400 PM MDT.

* At 326 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles east of
  Angel Fire, or 23 miles east of Taos, moving east southeast at 10
  mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Angel Fire, Cimarron, Philmont Scout Ranch, Rayado and Miami.

This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 276 and 277...and near
Mile Marker 303...and between Mile Markers 305 and 310.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.

Heavy rains from severe thunderstorms can produce sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos, ditches and over low water crossings. Do
not attempt to drive through areas where water covers the roadway.

SOUTHWESTERN COLFAX AND NORTH CENTRAL MORA COUNTIES...

At 343 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northeast of
Black Lake, or 25 miles east of Taos, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
