* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico...
* Until 500 PM MDT.
* At 411 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
10 miles northwest of Maxwell to 7 miles southeast of Maxwell,
moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Maxwell and Raton Crews Airport.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 64 between Mile Markers 317 and 337. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 419 and 440.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.

SOUTHEASTERN COLFAX COUNTY...
At 438 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 5
miles northwest of Maxwell to 11 miles northwest of Abbott, moving
east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
