The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Hansford County in the Panhandle of Texas...
  Southwestern Ochiltree County in the Panhandle of Texas...

* Until 130 AM CDT.

* At 1232 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles west of
  Waka, or 6 miles northeast of Spearman, moving southeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect some tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
           homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Hail damage to vehicles 
           is expected.

* Locations impacted include...
  Spearman, Waka, and Farnsworth.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN HANSFORD AND SOUTHWESTERN OCHILTREE COUNTIES...

At 106 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southeast of
Waka, or 12 miles east of Spearman, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to roofs, siding, and trees is possible. Hail 
         damage to vehicles is expected.

Locations impacted include...
Spearman and Waka.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN HANSFORD AND
SOUTHWESTERN OCHILTREE COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 130 AM CDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
the Panhandle of Texas.
