The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Custer County in central Nebraska...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 603 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest
  of Mason City, or 19 miles southeast of Broken Bow, moving
  northeast at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...Half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ansley, Mason City, Buckeye, Block Hill Basin, Burr Oak, Gavin
  Siding, Intersection of Highway 183 and Cumro Road, and Cumro.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 73 and 92.
 Highway 2 between mile markers 293 and 307.
 Highway 92 between mile markers 300 and 308.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

FOR SOUTHEASTERN CUSTER COUNTY...

At 620 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mason City, or
21 miles southeast of Broken Bow, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.
