Northwestern Berkeley County in the Panhandle of West Virginia...
* Until 230 PM EDT.
* At 206 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Berkeley
Springs, or near Hancock, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

Berkeley Springs, Hedgesville, Johnsons Mill, Tomahawk,
Johnsontown, Jones Springs, Berryville, Spohrs Crossroads, New

FOR NORTHEASTERN MORGAN AND NORTHWESTERN BERKELEY COUNTIES...
At 217 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southeast of
Berkeley Springs, or 10 miles southeast of Hancock, moving southeast
at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to
fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage
homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed
trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured
light objects may become projectiles.
Locations impacted include...
Hedgesville, Johnsons Mill, Tomahawk, Johnsontown, Jones Springs,
Spohrs Crossroads, New Hope, Spruce Pine Hollow, and Shady Grove.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN MORGAN AND
NORTHWESTERN BERKELEY COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 230 PM EDT...
The storm which prompted the warning is moving out of Morgan County.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.
However, a new Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for
Berkeley County until 315 PM EDT.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Sterling Virginia.
