The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Baltimore City in northern Maryland...
  Southeastern Baltimore County in northern Maryland...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 519 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Baltimore,
  and is nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches 
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as 
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by 
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. 
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Baltimore, Middle River, North Point State Park, Sparrows Point,
  Back River, Millers Island, Dundalk, Towson, Catonsville, Essex,
  Woodlawn, Parkville, Carney, Perry Hall, Arbutus, Rosedale,
  Rossville, Brooklyn Park, White Marsh, and Bowleys Quarters.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN BALTIMORE COUNTY
AND BALTIMORE CITY IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, heavy rain is
still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central and northern Maryland.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Sterling Virginia.
