* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Cherry County in north central Nebraska...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 326 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Merritt
  Reservoir, or 20 miles southwest of Valentine, moving northeast at
  15 mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Merritt Reservoir, Big Alkali Lake State Wildlife Management Area,
  and Schlagel Creek State Wildlife Management Area.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 97 between mile markers 114 and 133.
 Highway 83 between mile markers 196 and 202.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Reservoir, or 18 miles southwest of Valentine, moving northeast at 10
mph.
