* At 144 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northwest
of Farmington, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Northeastern Farmington, Aztec, Flora Vista and La Plata.
This includes Highway 550 between Mile Markers 160 and 169.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
