Southwestern Socorro County in central New Mexico...
* Until 345 PM MDT.
* At 259 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 24 miles south of
Magdalena, or 28 miles southwest of Socorro, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Bosque Del Apache Refuge, San Antonio and Laborcita.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 380 between Mile Markers 1 and 5.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 122 and 142.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

FOR SOUTH CENTRAL SOCORRO COUNTY...
At 314 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles west of
Bosque Del Apache Refuge, or 20 miles southwest of Socorro, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
