The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Dolores County in southwestern Colorado...
  West central San Miguel County in southwestern Colorado...
  Northeastern San Juan County in southeastern Utah...

* Until 215 PM MDT.

* At 141 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 9 miles northeast of Eastland, or 16 miles east of
  Monticello, moving northeast at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northwestern Dolores, west central San Miguel and northeastern San
  Juan Counties, including the following locations... Egnar.

This includes Colorado 141 between mile markers 6 and 23.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN DOLORES...WEST CENTRAL SAN
MIGUEL AND NORTHEASTERN SAN JUAN COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 215 PM
MDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Grand Junction.
