The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Jackson County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 315 AM EDT.

* At 247 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Clarktown, or 13 miles north of Portsmouth, moving
  northeast at 65 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Jackson around 255 AM EDT.
  Wellston around 300 AM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Coalton, Byer, Petersburg, and Mabee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

was located over Jackson, moving northeast at 65 mph.

AM EDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM EDT for
southeastern Ohio.

Remember, a Tornado Warning still remains in effect for Jackson 
County until 330 AM.
