The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Dickinson County in central Kansas...
  Southeastern Ottawa County in north central Kansas...

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 1025 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near New Cambria,
  moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado and ping pong ball size hail. 

  SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. At 1020 PM, storm 
           spotters reported a tornado west of Salina.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Solomon, Manchester, Abilene, Niles, Talmage, and Enterprise.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 267 and 278.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

At 1043 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Solomon, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN DICKINSON AND SOUTHEASTERN
OTTAWA COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1100 PM CDT...

The Tornado Warning that was previously in effect has been reissued 
for northern Dickinson and southern Clay counties and is in effect 
until 1130 pm. Please refer to that bulletin for the latest severe 
weather information.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
central and north central Kansas.

Remember, a Tornado Warning still remains in effect for northern 
Dickinson and southern Clay counties
