The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southwestern Morrill County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...
  Eastern Banner County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...

* Until 700 PM MDT.

* At 612 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 7 miles southwest of McGrew, or 17 miles southeast of
  Scottsbluff, moving southeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and baseball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  southwestern Morrill and eastern Banner Counties, including the
  following locations... Wrights Gap.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

This is a dangerous storm, producing large hail driven by severe

was located 9 miles west of Redington, or 23 miles southeast of
Scottsbluff, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and tennis ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

BANNER COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 700 PM MDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for
the Panhandle of Nebraska.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
southern Morrill County until 745 PM MDT.
