The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern St. Helena Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Southern Amite County in southern Mississippi...

* Until 645 AM CDT.

* At 553 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
  tornadoes and straight line wind damage were located near
  Centreville, or 10 miles southwest of Liberty, moving east at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Gillsburg around 620 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

tornadoes and straight line wind damage located near Felps, or 9 
miles south of Liberty, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN ST. HELENA PARISH IN
SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHEASTERN AMITE COUNTIES IS
CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, gusty winds are
still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
southeastern Louisiana...and southern Mississippi.
