The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Northwestern Sheridan County in south central North Dakota...
Northeastern McLean County in south central North Dakota...
* Until 600 PM CDT.
* At 508 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Mercer, or 34 miles east of Garrison, moving north
at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Sheridan and northeastern McLean Counties, including
the following locations... Ruso, Krueger Lake, Strawberry Lake, and
Kief.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

At 522 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located 6 miles north of
Mercer, or 32 miles east of Garrison, moving north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Damaging tornado.
SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include...
Turtle Lake, Mercer, Butte, Ruso City, Kief, Ruso, Krueger Lake, and

TORNADO was reported north of Mercer.
