The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Buchanan County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 420 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Fontana County Park, or 7 miles north of
  Independence, moving southeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Independence, Winthrop, Stanley, Jakway Park, Otterville, 
  Wapsipinicon Golf Course, Independence Airport, and Buchanan 
  County Fairgrounds around 425 PM CDT.
  Quasqueton and Winthrop Golf Course around 430 PM CDT.
  Rowley and Monti around 435 PM CDT.
