...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 8 PM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts between 45 and 55 mph 
  expected.

* WHERE...All of northern New York and most of Vermont, outside of 
  Orange and eastern Windsor Counties.

* WHEN...From 8 AM to 8 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree 
  limbs could be blown down with isolated to scattered power outages 
  possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will be between 9 AM and 
  1 PM, especially in the northern Champlain Valley and northern 
  slopes of the Adirondacks, with another round of strong winds in 
  northern New York between 3 PM and 8 PM. Fully leafed out trees 
  may result in more tree damage than with similar wind speeds 
  during the colder months of the year.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
