...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations generally around an 
  inch, with isolated spots right along the Tennessee border seeing 
  an additional 2 inches. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph, and up to 70 
  mph on higher ridgetops.

* WHERE...Avery, Madison, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST this morning.

* IMPACTS...The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered 
  roadways. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees 
  and power lines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while 
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken 
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
