...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 4 PM EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Mixed precipitation will also be 
  possible. Total ice accumulations of one to two tenths of an inch 
  with locally higher amounts possible. Total snow and sleet 
  accumulations of up to one inch.

* WHERE...Southeast Michigan.

* WHEN...From 5 AM to 4 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous 
  conditions will impact the Friday morning commute and holiday 
  travel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while 
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken 
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and 
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A mix of sleet and snow is more likely toward 
  the Tri Cities and northern Thumb. More of a pure freezing rain 
  scenario is favored for the I-69 to M-59 corridors which also has 
  the best chance of higher end icing totals. Locations toward metro 
  Detroit and the Ohio border have the best chance of temperature 
  rising above freezing by afternoon.
