The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for...
  Red Willow County in southwestern Nebraska...
  Eastern Hitchcock County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 830 PM CDT, a wall of dust was along a line extending from 5
  miles south of Palisade to 9 miles south of Culbertson to 6 miles
  east of Herndon, moving north at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in 
           excess of 60 mph.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters south of Stratton report 1/4 
           mile visibility in blowing dust

  IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

US 24 between Bartley and Trenton.

Locations impacted include...
McCook, Trenton, Culbertson, Indianola, Palisade, Bartley, and
Danbury.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are also possible behind this wall of
dust. Keep updated with this quickly evolving situation.

northwestern Kansas...and southwestern Nebraska.
