...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR 
PORTIONS OF NORTHERN NAVAJO AND APACHE COUNTIES...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Navajo and Apache counties from 
  Kayenta to Round Rock.

* WHEN...Until 400 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is 
  imminent or occurring. Dangerous flooding over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 152 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
    has fallen with storms continuing to develop.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Baby Rocks, Chilchinbito, Rock Point, Kayenta, Round Rock,
    Bullet Rock.
  - Visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for more information on
    flood safety.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 3 PM MST /4 PM MDT/ this afternoon 
for a portion of northern Navajo and Apache counties.

The heavy rain has ended, with light rain continuing. Storm runoff 
will continue this afternoon, but significant flooding is no longer 
expected. Please continue to heed any remaining road closures.
