...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northern Indiana, including the following
counties, Blackford, Grant and Jay.
* WHEN...Until 630 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 135 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hartford City, Dunkirk, Albany, Redkey, Matthews, Shamrock
Lakes, Mill Grove, Como, Powers, New Mount Pleasant and Bluff
Point.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 630 AM EDT this morning for a
portion of northern Indiana, including the following areas,
Blackford, Grant and Jay.
Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Motorists should be
alert for any lingering areas of ponding of water on roadways this
morning.
