...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central California, including the 
  following county, Alpine.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 414 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 to 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...mainly
    rural areas of Alpine County near Carson Pass, Red Lake, and
    Hope Valley.
  - CA-88 between Hope Valley and Carson Pass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
