...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas, including the following 
  counties, Linn and Miami and west central Missouri, including the 
  following counties, Bates and Cass.

* WHEN...Until 1215 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 911 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Raymore, Harrisonville, Pleasant Hill, Paola, Peculiar,
    Osawatomie, Louisburg, Garden City, La Cygne, Archie, Lake
    Winnebago, Drexel, Linn Valley, Cleveland, Freeman, East
    Lynne, Parker, Fontana, Lake Annette and Baldwin Park.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 1215 PM CDT this afternoon for 
portions of east central Kansas, including the following areas, Linn 
and Miami and west central Missouri, including the following areas, 
Bates and Cass.

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a 
threat. However, additional heavy rain is expected later this 
afternoon. Additional flood advisories may be required later today. 
Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
