...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the 
  following counties, Buffalo and Dawson.

* WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 933 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated ongoing or upcoming heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen already
    in parts of Dawson County, and some of this heavy rain will
    eventually affect more of Dawson County along with
    northwestern Buffalo County.
  - This includes, but is not limited to, the following streams
    and drainages...
    Buffalo Creek, Plum Creek, Gallagher Canyon State Recreation
    Area, Buffalo Creek, Turkey Creek, Elm Creek, Spring Creek.
  - Some locations that could experience flooding include...
    Lexington, Cozad, Gothenburg, Sumner, Miller, Eddyville,
    Willow Island and Farnam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the 
  following counties, Buffalo and Dawson.

* WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1134 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated that light to moderate rain continues in the
    Advisory area, but the very heavy rain rates from earlier
    this evening are no longer occurring. However, much of the
    Advisory area picked up 1 to 3 inches of rain over the last
    several hours, with the immediate Cozad area receiving
    slightly over 3 inches of rain. The previous rain, along with
    up to roughly another half-inch of rain still possible into
    early Tuesday morning, will cause continued flooding of small
    streams and poor drainage areas for several more hours.
  - This includes, but is not limited to, the following streams
    and drainages...
    Buffalo Creek, Plum Creek, Gallagher Canyon State Recreation
    Area, Buffalo Creek, Turkey Creek, Elm Creek, Spring Creek.
  - Some locations that could experience flooding include...

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 145 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate
    rainfall ongoing in the Advisory area, but the heaviest rain
    has ended. Much of the advisory area has received 1 to 3
    inches of rain, with localized areas receiving a little over
    3 inches of rain. The previous rain combined with another
    half inch of rain possible through early Tuesday morning will
    cause continued flooding of small streams and poor drainage
    areas for the next several hours.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Buffalo Creek, Plum Creek, Gallagher Canyon State Recreation
