...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across areas north
and east of Las Vegas. Rainfall rates of up to 1 inch per hour
have been observed. Minor flooding is expected across sensitive
basins.
* WHERE...Central Clark County including Valley of Fire...Logandale
and Overton Valley...and far northern Las Vegas Valley.
* WHEN...Until 1100 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 747 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, The Motor Speedway, Las Vegas
Bay, Lake Las Vegas, Nellis AFB, East Las Vegas, Aliante,
Fremont Street, Paradise, The Strip, Lone Mountain,
Centennial Hills, Summerlin, Callville Bay Campground,
Callville Bay, Valley Of Fire, Las Vegas Bay Campground, Echo
Bay Campground and Echo Bay.

- At 926 PM PDT, Heavy rain has shifted to become located
mainly across the Lake Mead National Recreation area.
Ongoing minor flooding continues with reports of some ongoing
flooding in the Valley of Fire area.
