...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following
county, Suffolk.
* WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 810 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.0 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Islip, Brentwood, Commack, Centereach, Deer Park,
Lindenhurst, Medford, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, Stony Brook,
Babylon, Patchogue, Northport, Robert Moses State Park,
Coram, Holbrook, Dix Hills, Smithtown, Bay Shore and
Sayville.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
