...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of the Panhandle of Texas, including the 
  following counties, Armstrong and Randall.

* WHEN...Until 600 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 258 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
    in the advisory area due to thunderstorms causing street
    flooding. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
    Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Canyon, Mescalero Park, Umbarger and Palo Duro Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
