...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the
following county, Colleton.
* WHEN...Until 215 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1244 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers with
torrential rainfall extending from just north of Walterboro
south to White Hall and Hendersonville. As much as 1 to 3
inches of rain has fallen over the area since just before
midnight. An additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 215
AM, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor
drainage areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Walterboro, Hendersonville, Ritter, White Hall, Drawdy,
Thayer, Colleton Medical Center, Lowcountry Regional Airport,
Rhodes Crossroads and Stokes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- At 119 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers with
torrential rainfall extending from just north of Walterboro
south to Ritter and Hendersonville. As much as 1 to 3 inches
of rain has fallen over the area since just before midnight.
An additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 215 AM,
resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage
areas.
- At 120 AM EDT, an unofficial rain gage along the south side
of Walterboro reported 1.76 inches of rain.
