...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern New York, including
the following counties, in east central New York, Saratoga and
Schenectady. In eastern New York, Montgomery.
* WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 310 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Schenectady, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Scotia, Glenville,
Niskayuna, Duanesburg, Ballston Spa, Hagaman, Fort Johnson,
Galway, Rotterdam Junction, Pattersonville-Rotterdam
Junction, East Glenville, Alplaus, Burnt Hills, Charlton,
Princetown, Duane and Rectors.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 515 PM EDT this afternoon for
portions of east central and eastern New York, including the
following areas, in east central New York, Saratoga and Schenectady.
In eastern New York, Montgomery.
The Flood Advisory has been replaced by a Flood Warning for portions
of the area in eastern Schenectady and southwest Saratoga Counties.
