...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Jasper, McDonald and Newton.
* WHEN...Until 745 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 450 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Joplin, Carthage, Neosho, Webb City, Oronogo, Seneca,
Carterville, Duquesne, Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Diamond, Leawood,
Silver Creek, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Loma Linda, Airport
Drive, Carytown, Fidelity, Redings Mill, Avilla, Grand Falls
Plaza, Brooklyn Heights, Shoal Creek Estates, Reeds, Dennis
Acres, Cliff Village, Atlas, Oakland Park, Iron Gates,
Racine, Maple Grove and Dudenville.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
