...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southern Vermont, including the following
county, Windham.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 407 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Townshend, Windham, Grafton, Athens, Houghtonville, South
Windham, Simpsonville, Cambridgeport, West Townshend,
Lawrence Four Corners, Townshend Dam, Harmonyville, East
Jamaica, North Windham, Bartonsville and Brockways Mills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of southern Vermont,
including the following area, Windham.
The threat for widespread flooding has increased over the area.
Therefore the Flood Advisory has been replaced by a Flood Warning
across northeast Windham County. Please refer to that bulletin for
more information.
