...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central New York, including the
following county, Rensselaer.
* WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Albany, Troy, East Greenbush, Cohoes, Rensselaer, Green
Island, Wyantskill, Wynantskill, West Sand Lake, Center
Brunswick, North Greenbush, South Troy, Albia, Defreestville,
Mountain View, Eastmor, Snyders Corner, Best, Couse and
Luther.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
