Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1238 PM CDT Wednesday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Duluth, Superior, Hawthorne, Lake Nebagamon, Maple, Poplar, Oulu, Oliver, Wrenshall, Port Wing, Holyoke, South Range, Amnicon Falls State Park, Wisconsin Point, Pattison State Park, Foxboro, Jay Cooke State Park, Nemadji, Herbster and Cornucopia. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood.
