...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Carter County in southeastern Montana...
Eastern Powder River County in southeastern Montana...
* WHEN...Until 1015 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 710 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and
1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Law Enforcement has reported water over some roadways. Please
follow all guidance from local officials and do not drive around
barricades.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Broadus, Biddle, Alzada, Boyes, Hammond, Belle Creek, Ridge,
Powderville and Olive.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Do not drive on or attempt to cross flooded
roads, find an alternate route. Roads and driveways may be damaged or
washed out in places.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of southeast Montana,
including the following areas, Carter and Powder River.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 600 PM MDT Sunday for portions
of Montana and north central Wyoming...
