...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Alabama, including
the following counties, in south central Alabama, Escambia and
Monroe. In southwest Alabama, Baldwin, Clarke and Washington.
* WHEN...Until 530 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Overflowing
poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 230 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
McCullough, Uriah, Little River, Serange, Mineola, Chrysler,
Booneville, Tensaw, Palmers Crossroads, Blacksher, Huxford
and Malcolm.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
