...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern New York, including 
  the following counties, in east central New York, Schoharie. In 
  eastern New York, Montgomery.

* WHEN...Until 1045 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over 
  roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 736 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cobleskill, Sharon Springs, Ames, Central Bridge, Carlisle,
    Sharon, Seward, Little York, Zeh Corners, Argusville,
    Lawyersville, Browns Hollow, Gardnersville, Beekman Corners,
    Janesville, Sharon Center, Hyndsville, Shutts Corners, Lykers
    and Kilmartin Corners.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
