...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southern Davis County in northern Utah...
  Northern Salt Lake County in northern Utah...

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 345 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding
    across southern Davis and northern Salt Lake Counties. Between
    0.5 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 0.75 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Bountiful, Farmington, North
    Salt Lake, Centerville, Woods Cross, West Bountiful, Salt Lake
    City International Airport and Magna.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHERE...Southeastern Davis County in northern Utah...
  Northwestern Salt Lake County in northern Utah...

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other
  areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 508 PM MDT, Between 0.5 and 0.75 inches of rain have fell
    earlier from strong thunderstorms, which is resulting in flooding
    of low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in additional
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Bountiful, Farmington, North
    Salt Lake, Centerville, Woods Cross, West Bountiful, Salt Lake
    City International Airport and Magna.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 7 PM MDT this evening for a portion
of northern Utah, including the following areas, Davis and Salt Lake.

The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Occasional thunderstorms will bring
another round of rainfall through 8 PM, however additional flooding
is not expected. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
