...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and west central
Indiana, including the following counties, in south central
Indiana, Brown and Monroe. In southwest Indiana, Greene. In west
central Indiana, Owen.
* WHEN...Until 615 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 149 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bloomington, Spencer, Nashville, Ellettsville, Worthington,
Indiana University, Whitehall, Smithville, Monroe Reservoir,
Unionville, Woodville Hills, Fairfax State Recreation Area,
Harrodsburg, Lake Lemon, Yellowwood Lake, Charles Deam
Wilderness, Helmsburg, Solsberry, Elkinsville and
Beanblossom.
