...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following 
  counties, Carter, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 651 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen
    over the last hour. Additional rains of up to 1.5 inches are
    possible. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Johnson City, Elizabethton, Erwin, Pine Crest, Central,
    Hampton, Midway, Banner Hill, Unicoi, Milligan College,
    Embreeville, Hunter and Doeville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
