...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Central Wichita County in west central Kansas...

* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 958 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the
    advisory area due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and
    small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Leoti, Marienthal and Selkirk.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 1 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 1 AM CDT early this morning for a
portion of west central Kansas, including the following area,
Wichita.

The heavy rain has ended. Flood waters have receded. Urban area and
small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.
